About MH

My photo
Mark Hamrick
My journey as a journalist has led me from Kansas to Buffalo, New York, Dallas and Washington, D.C., where I've worked for the past 3 decades. Along the way, I've interviewed killers behind prison walls, met or interviewed most of my living heroes and, perhaps most importantly, continue to be inspired by everyday people. I've had more lucky breaks than I could have ever predicted, and have come to appreciate that you can't predict where life is going to take you. That makes it all the more precious. I now serve as Washington Bureau Chief and Senior Economic Analyst for Bankrate.com, working out of the National Press Building.
